DAY #40 - CUPBEARERS

On this the 40th day of prayer for the children, we want to focus our prayer on the people that enable Children’s Cup to do what we do. Those of you who support Children’s Cup through prayer, giving or even going to the field for short-term missions projects all are very very important to us. We are convinced that it is your prayers that have sustained us when we have needed strength, and provided the resources when they were most needed.

So today, we pray for the children by asking God to continue to bless you and the rest of the Children’s Cup Cupbearers. We pray for your families - for strengthened relationships, for healing, for strength during times when families are separated due to military service. We pray for direction in your lives. We pray for God’s protection on your children, and for His hand to be on them everywhere they go. We pray that God will bless your businesses, your employers and employees. We pray that God will make you beacons of light and God’s hope to your co-workers, neighbors and loved ones. We pray for anointing in your lives as God gives you opportunity to show people His love and grace. We pray that God will increase your capacity to serve Him in your local church. We pray for increased blessing on you so that you can bless others. We pray that the power of the Holy Spirit will fill you as you continue to pray for the children and for His blessing on your resources as you continue to provide for the work Children’s Cup is doing with them.

Today we have invited a great friend of Children's Cup to lead us in prayer. Lee Domingue is a tremendous example of being a 'CupBearer - his heart and passion for doing God's will in everything is both inspiring and a blessing to everyone around him. Lee recently was in Mozambique and Swaziland with a team from Healing Place Church.

If you have a prayer need that you'd like to include here, please add it to the comments on this post and we'll be sure to pray for you today.

And feel free to come back here to let us know of the answers to your prayers as God meets them.

Thanks again for praying. Please stay connected with Children's Cup through the 'Cup website (www.childrenscup.org) and the 'Cup team members' blogs:

Dear Jesus,

Today as everyday I pray for Childrens Cup and its leaders the Ohlerkings. This day I pray a special financial blessings on this ministry and this couple who lead it. Today you will give them a blessing of finances so they can do the ministry you have called them to do. I pray for businesses to start contributing to this ministry that they do not even know about. I pray each day that they go the mailbox starting today for the next year there will be finances in the box. I pray while people are searching the web they come across this link and by the divine appointment of you they click on to it and began a new partnership with Childrens Cup ministry. I pray for the staff and the volunteer workers to began feeling the annointing of the Holy Spirit as they work to obtain the givings of this ministry. This is your ministry that you entrusted to them and they are carrying out your wishes to reach the children that are hurting around the world and especially in Africa.

The blessings of the Lord rest on them today and each day hereafter for the advancement of the Kingdom.

I pray for health for the Ohlerkings each day and traveling mercies each day as they do the work you assigned to them. As Mission of Mercy joins hands with Childrens Cup I pray that we together can reach the masses that need Jesus. All of this I pray in the mighty name of Jesus.

Our prayer is that we would be faithful to represent Him in such a way that lives would be transformed by His power. Pray that we’ll continue to be unified...that we would love each other...not just in word but in deed...and that we would be His hands extended to a society that desperately needs Him. Pray that we as a body would give bountifully...so that we can reap bountifully...so that we can give even more...bountifully. (A greater channel...if you know what I mean) Anyway, love you guys...

You know our biggest need right now is for the financial support needed to get us to the field. We are talking to about 8 churches right now and continue to talk to individuals. We are also going to Paris following the Hillsong London conference at the end of this month to look into housing. Pray that God will raise up most of our support before that time so that we will better know our options.

Pray also for the visa application process. This is always tough especially in terms of dates.

Pray for specific potential partnerships with Mark Batterson’s church and Erwin McManus’ church.

Pray for continued spiritual growth in our family and direction as parents.

We love you guys and hope Children’s cup has seen God work during this time.

Blessings,

continue to pray for my boys' salvation. I need strength and joy to continue on...I need a vacation and at this time there is no one to watch and care for my granddaughter. Until the vacation comes, I need His grace and peace...

Thank you Ohlerkings and Children's Cup Family,

Prayer request: our family of three, praying for God to do a mighty work in restoration and unity. (Psalm 91 and 27) Wyatt (6) and Kathleen (8) and I protected to bring Him glory. That our life together magnifies His love, His truth and His will. No weapon formed against us shall prosper. Nothing will distract us (2 Cor 10:6) from the walk, call, and eternity our Father has for us. Please pray for total corrective healing in my children's eyes. That they be made straight. Pray for our hearts. That we not be hardened but always open and surrendered into His mighty hands.

Thank you. God bless you and all whom are connected to you. May the burdens upon the heart of our Father be upon us all.

Thank you so much for praying for our needs. My requests are that my husband would be blessed beyond measure in his business and personal relationships as he has so unselfishly blessed and served others. I also would like prayer for my sons—Jordan, in this critical time of his life to make decisions out of his love for the Lord and a desire to follow His will, and, Jonathan, that he would experience the love and grace of the Savior like no other time, turn his back on the world, and make Jesus the Lord of his life. Love and blessings to all of you, Suzanne

Thank YOU for the privilege of praying with y'all for these forty days.

Our prayer requests are these:

(1) We need to sell our house by the end of Sept!

(2) Favor with the Chinese government to adopt a little girl from China (I'm a breast cancer survivor, which complicates things); also finances for the adoption.

God bless y'all! You will still be in our prayers long after these forty days are complete!

Susan

Please pray for my Dad. He is not saved, bitter, etc... I could go on and on but the bottom line is he is not wearing the helmet of salvation. Thanks!

Thanks so much for all that ya'll do. I was very eager to participate in the 40 day prayer project, and I'm so glad I did. It has really focused my heart even more on the lost and hurting. In response to Dan's email to send in our requests here is mine:

Clarity in direction over the next couple of months with my career,
relationships and ministry as I make decisions on each.

Thanks!!!

Serving Him,
Shane

Please pray for me for confirmation that God is calling me to fulltime missions, specifically to Sub Saharan Africa, where you guys are. :)

I am finishing up my Associates in Biblical Studies degree and would like to take courses next to become a certified medical assistant so I can be better equipped overseas to help in the clinics/hospitals. Pray this is the Lord's decision for me.

Also pray for me to have increased faith and to not let worries about financial provision stand in the way of what is in my heart.

I pray that God will continue to bless everyone involved in 'Cup and that He would strenghten, guide and sustain you.

Thank you!

Joyfully His,

Rachel

Good day to you...!!

God bless Children´s cup - all those involved.

I am so used to praying for you, that it is a bit odd to ask for prayer in return....

but I shall not be proud, and will ask that you please pray for the radical salvation of my husband, that God may bless his electrical business, so that we may be blessed financially, and thus be more of a blessing to others...

Thanking you kindly.

May God bless you richly...

Shalom

My Co-Workers really enjoyed getting to participate in the 40 days of prayer. My son, came home from school (Faith Academy) with the plastic cup to raise funds for Children's Cup cooking pots. He thought this was really cool since we had already collected $ this summer for VBS at HPC. I had heard Bro Scott say that they had a group going to Africa soon.

My prayers requested is for my brother and sister who are serving as missionaries in Israel until November. There has been so many changes in the past few months, especially with the war--there are more and more Russian Jews returning--even though they really felt God had called them to serve in Israel, and they have a servant heart and compassion for the Jewish people, they know feel this door is closing. I would like to request wisdom for them to know where God wants them to serve next. I pray that the new doors of serve will open clearly for them.

Thanks,

Vicki

Heavenly Father, thank You for each of these who have joined us for these forty days of prayer for the children. We ask You to bless them. Blow their minds with blessing from Heaven. Let them see miracles in their lives as they serve you. Use their lives to make a difference everywhere they go - leaving hope, joy and blessings in their wake. Make them channels through which You touch the world. Keep Your hand on them. Use Children’s Cup to be a blessing to them for You. Encourage them through their partnership with us, and enable them to see what You see in them - people who You want to use to change the world. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father, you are a mighty God, and we rely completely on You. We praise You, and we thank You, that in Your wisdom You have saved us by grace, because there is no other way. Father God, bless these Your people who have left families and comfort behind to go to the ends of the earth to bring the Good News of Salvation in Jesus to those who are far away. Father, in a nation that collectively has turn her back on You, they are a beacon of light. May their example shine brightly and inspire many, particularly young people, to follow in their footsteps. Meet their needs, and if Jesus tarries grant us peace and the conditions to generate the resources to support their efforts. Give them strength, enthusiasm and physical and emotional health to go forth in the Name of the Lord.
Father, I thank you for Dave and Jean and their family and I ask that You would bless them in a way that far surpasses their wildest dreams and imaginations.
I ask for this in the wonderful Name of Jesus - Amen and Amen

PLEASE PRAY FOR MY FOUR CHILDREN, BUT SPECIAL PRAYER FOR MY SON, THAT HE LISTENS AND REMAIN IN SCHOOL,PLEASE PRAY THAT HE WILL REALISE THE PURPOSE OF HAVING JESUS IN HIS LIFE,PLEASE JOIN ME IN PRAYING.
