DAY #14 - SHARON VAN RENSBURG
Sharon was also born and raised in Africa. She has served in ministry wtih Dave throughout their marriage. She has seen her husband risk his life in some of the most dangerous situations imaginable in order to provide relief to hurting children, and she has upheld him in prayer through it all. God has used her greatly in personal evangelism as well - she has a passion and a great awareness of opportunities to share the love of Jesus through personal relationships. Please pray for her safety as she travels with her husband, and for continued good health. The Van Rensburgs have two children. Ty is 26 and currently lives in the United States, and Melanie is 24 and lives in Zimbabwe. Please pray for this family as they are in different parts of the world that they would continue to be closely connected as they always have been. And pray that God will continue to bless them as they touch the hurting children of Africa.
Today, we have asked Michelle Gros, Director of Elevate at Healing Place Church, to lead us in prayer.
- Father we come before You in prayer on behalf of Sharon Van Rensburg. We thank You for how You have used her and her family to bring Your hope and love to the hurting in Africa. Father we ask that You bless Sharon right now, that You would reach down from Heaven and touch her. We ask for greater favor upon her life, that she would grow in wisdom, stature, in favor with You and with man.
We ask for the power of the Holy Spirit to fill her right now- that You would increase her faith, her boldness, her love, her trust, her passion. We pray for bigger dreams, new visions to reach the people of Africa for Your Kingdom. God use her to heal, to set free, to proclaim Your Word. We believe that through her You will bring healing to those with AIDS, those who have been abused, those who suffer from poverty- oh that You would use her to bring Your hope.
We ask for Your blessing upon her as a wife and a mother, for divine wisdom and strength to support her family in a way that honors Your name. Thank You for her commitment to Your plans, to Your commission. We know You are smiling upon her and her family as they pursue Your heart to set free the oppressed, the orphaned, the sick, the widowed- bless them Lord for their commitment to Your will. In Jesus name- Amen!
