DAY #12 - THE CAREPOINT COOKS

The CarePoint cooks are volunteers. They come faithfully to the CarePoint in their own neighborhoods every day to start the fires and put on the pots, filling them with water and maize - preparing for the neighborhood kids who have no one to cook for them. At some CarePoints they prepare for several hundred kids every day. Knowing they are the only adult supervision in some of these kids’ lives, we are teaching them to show the love of Jesus. Pray with us that each one of our CarePoint cooks will accept Jesus as their personal Savior so they can truly be a picture of Jesus to our kids in every act of service that they perform.

Today, we have asked DeLynn Rizzo, who is Healing Place Church's Worship Pastor and the leader of Healing Place Women, to lead us in prayer for these special ladies.

Please join us in prayer today and we invite you to leave a prayer or thought here in this online prayer gathering by clicking COMMENTS below. Thanks for praying!

Comments:
these cooks are learning to show God's love--something a lot of them have just recently come to experience personally themselves.

for some of the kids, the cooks are the closest thing to having a mom that they know.

we are teaching the cooks how to let Jesus love the kids through them.

ps they are great cooks!
